My husband and I ski a fair amount, and while I enjoy skiing as well as the views from the mountains, I really enjoy the breaks when we get a chance to eat!  Aspen and Snowmass mountains have to be my favorite places to ski for the food.

Aspen mountain’s Sun Deck has a delicious selection of lunch including the made to order stir fry or noodle bowls.  While lunch may cost you $40-50 for two, its better than some places where I have spent close to the same amount for a not so good sandwich and fries.  There is also a full bar inside with a good bloody mary.  The Sun Deck is just steps from the gondola so even if you are not a skier, take the ride up for lunch with a view.

Snowmass mountain is home to Up 4 Pizza, only accessible by the ski lift, it may be worth learning how to ski if you don’t already.  This place makes my day!  Hot, crusty pizza and warm, freshly baked cookies is the best mountain food I have ever had.
