I heard that you have to get to this place early if you want to sit for lunch, but when I was in the area around 10am, I wasn’t sure I was in the mood for oysters. I’m so glad I stopped! The small store front sized restaurant has a counter top bar that seats maybe 15 people at a time. While I sat down right away, the line formed out the door shortly after with some people waiting to sit while others getting an order to go. This was the best place I ate at during my 3 day trip to San Francisco! The food was fresh, simple, and delicious and the staff was friendly. I started with oysters, an assortment of what they had that day, then after seeing someone else with a salad, I ordered a crab salad and glass of wine. To my surprise, the salad was just simply shredded lettuce and nearly a pound of lump crab meat. Behind the counter, they mixed oil and vinegar dressing for me and I was in heaven! The service was fantastic and despite the line out the door, I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. This will be a place I revisit as often as I am in San Francisco!
