Has a restaurant ever saved your life?  This hut just a short ski run down from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise lift was truly a gift from the heavens for me.  The weather from one side of the mountains of Zermatt to the other side into Cervinia can get cold, really cold, and windy, really windy.  Just when you think you will never make it back to civilization again, this hut appears and all you hope for is shelter from the storm.  Not only is shelter what you get but a wood burning stove to warm by and the best pasta you have ever had along with a local wine.  The place is no frills and yet is the most wonderful place you have ever had the luxury of eating lunch.
