No doubt that this place would be a splurge if dining in Zurich, but one that I think is worth the price.  Already a very expensive country to visit, Kronenhalle for dinner exceeds any average meal in the states.  Considering that you get dinner and an art museum all in one, I think this is a must if visiting Zurich.  Paintings from Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, and Saint-Laurent hang on the walls within the beautiful dining room.  The food is a delicious mix of french and german influence and well-paired with the rare, local wine from the Swiss.
