I love to eat! I love to travel!

I love to eat! When I was young, if it wasn’t chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, or a plain hot dog on my plate, I wasn’t eating it. I can remember times when I was the last one sitting at the table staring at something green before my mom would show mercy and allow me to leave it there. That seems ridiculous to me now, and in part, I do have my dad to thank for that. He would always watch me stare at the plate and tell me “just try it once.” Today, I’ll try anything once (well…almost). For some reason, I can’t get past the thought of eating blood sausage. I know I am probably missing out, but unless the Cullens decide to make me a part of their family, I just can’t eat it!

I love to travel! The one thing that has always interested me about food from a young age is the presentation. A pretty plate is what I find most appealing. I tend to remember exactly how my most favorite plates of food have looked. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of a restaurant I went to in Tampa, Florida when I was 6 years old, but I can draw the most amazing chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce as if it were a masterpiece. Now, thanks to the smart phone, I can take pictures of my food before I dive in. Note: Careful you don’t drop your cell phone into the plate!

My goal with this blog and this website is to share my passion with others, whether they consider themselves foodies or not. Perhaps taking a food tour will open someone up to new foods and cultures that they have never experienced or maybe it will be as simple as finding their own “most amazing” dish. I feel that the first time you take a bite of that dish, it will be a moment that you will never forget but wish you could experience that first time all over again.
