The elk is what brings me back to this restaurant, but trying something new doesn’t disappoint. The food at Briar Rose is excellent whether you are refueling after a hard day of skiing or you just want to treat yourself to a great meal. While they have plenty of steak options on the menu, I urge you to try something new. The Elk Medallions is the best in town, but this time I also tried the Duck which was even more amazing!
If you are like me and want to try a few different things when dining out, make a reservation to sit at the bar. Here you can order off the small plates menu where the bacon nuts are a must try! Cocktails are delicious, but they also have a notable and reasonably priced wine list. If you have room for dessert, I recommend going with the cobbler of the day. At this visit the fruit was blueberry so I couldn’t pass it up…once again I wasn’t disappointed. I have also had the chocolate hazelnut cake with is more like a lava cake meets a souffle that is to die for!
